    Date format for rename

    in Bright Renamer Forum

    Hi,

I'm still testing Bright Renamer and it's interesting. Now I would like to include the date (e.g. creation date) in the file name. For this I only want to use the date in the format YYYYY-MM-DD. Can I set the date format anywhere?

    Old Name: File.txt

    NeName: 2018-06-11-File.txt

    Dear Stefan,

Thank you for contacting us. Date format can be easily modified using the Preferences menu:

    1. Click Bright Renamer menu found on the upper left corner.

    2. Choose: Preferences

    3. under: "General", you have a setting: "Date format for file meta data:", You can use the: "+" button on the right in order to see hints about the available date patterns including preview for the current date/time.

    4. After modification, close the Preferences menu and from now on - Bright Renamer will use the new format when adding Date strings for Meta Tags.

Please feel free to update how it works for you or if any further information is required - I will happily assist.

    Best regards,

    Sahar Radomsky
